In Service to One. In Service to All.
Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal service organization that witnesses to its principles of charity, unity. fraternity, and patriotism through spiritual and corporal works of mercy locally and throughout the world. The Knights also promotes the Catholic faith through evangelization initiatives and offers financial security to its members and their families through highly rated financial products and services.
In Fall of 2012, over 60 Charter Members led by our Founding Grand Knight, Sir Knight Tom Kuchera, got together to form what is now Our Lady of Guadalupe Council #15590 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Doylestown, PA. Our initial Degree ceremony was performed one evening at the St. Juan Diego Chapel with the incredible support of our Pastor, Council Chaplain, and fellow 4th Degree Knight, Sir Knight, Reverend Monsignor Gentili.
On December 12, 2012 (12-12-12), which is the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, we were granted our Charter and recognized as an official Council by the Knights of Columbus Supreme HQ in New Haven, CT. Council# 15590 was assigned to us.
Our numbers now exceed 150 members and invite all practicing Catholic men over the age of 18 to come and join this fine “Band of Brothers” and become members of Council 15590 by contacting us today!

We are a Catholic band of 150+ Brothers who instill the four founding principles of the order which are charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. We do so, both in our parish and community, by participating in good deeds and living out our Catholic faith.
Our charitable activities encompass a variety of local, national and international projects. From charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, Food for Families, Coats for Kids, ARC (an advocate organization for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities), Adopt-a-Road Clean Up, and Flags Across America, our Brothers come together as a unified group to assist in these meaningful programs. Our Knights also assist in contributing to many parish and community charities from the use of the proceeds from our fundraising efforts (Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Rachel’s Vineyard, seminarian scholastic support through the RSVP program, OLG Youth Ministry, OLG Musical Groups, Food for Families to name a few).
Our Brothers can also be found assisting our parish throughout the year serving as members of the Pastoral Council, Finance Committee, Right to Life Ministry, Haiti Ministry, Deacons, Sacristans, Ushers, Crews setting up for parish events and cleaning the church grounds, etc.). As you can see, we are an active group which is serving our parish and community through our hard work and dedication towards meaningful and charitable acts. Come find out more about us and meet some of our Brothers at one of OLG’s Ministry Fairs or at one of our social events held throughout the year.
All the good works we do are informed by our four core principles:
Charity – Our Catholic faith teaches us to “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” Members of the Knights of Columbus show love for their neighbors by conducting food drives and donating the food to local soup kitchens and food pantries, by volunteering at Special Olympics, and by supporting, both spiritually and materially, mothers who choose life for their babies. Knights recognize that our mission, and our faith in God, compels us to action. There is no better way to experience love and compassion than by helping those in need, a call we answer every day.
Unity – None of us is as good as all of us. Members of the Knights of Columbus all know that – together – we can accomplish far more than any of us could individually. So we stick together…we support one another. That doesn’t mean that we always agree or that there is never a difference of opinion. It does mean that – as a Knight of Columbus – you can count on the support and encouragement of your brother Knights as you work to make life better in your parish and community.
Fraternity – Venerable Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus, in large part, to provide assistance to the widows and children left behind when the family breadwinner died – often prematurely. The Order’s top-rated insurance program continues to do this today, as do the good works of individual Knights, who gave more than 75.6 million service hours in 2017, illustrating how Catholics serve each other in fraternity and mercy.
Patriotism – Members of the Knights of Columbus, be they Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, Cubans, Filipinos, Poles, or Dominicans, are patriotic citizens. We are proud of our devotion to God and country, and believe in standing up for both. Whether it’s in public or private, the Knights remind the world that Catholics support their nations and are amongst the greatest citizens.
