Religious Education

Mission

Mission Statement: The ministry of Religious Education flows from the mandate of Jesus to go into the whole world and teach the Good News. The Religious Education Program of Saint Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church is rooted in this decree and nourishes a community of faith. This community is dedicated to sharing, nurturing, and strengthening faith, thus enabling the manifestation of the Gospel message of Jesus through worship in community and in service.

Children’s Liturgy Of The Word

Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is available during the 10:30 Sunday Mass from September to May. Children in grades one through four proceed from the church to a classroom in which an adult leader provides the Liturgy of the Word at the child’s level of understanding. As part of the offertory procession, the children return to the Church to join their parents for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Right Of Christian Initiation For Adults (RCIA)

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) introduces one to the beauty and richness of the Catholic faith through prayer, small group sharing, formal instruction, and special rites. Adults participate for many reasons. Some are just curious about the Catholic Church and would like to learn more about it. Others are searching and feel that perhaps the Catholic Church is for them. Still others were baptized Catholic, but did not continue on to receive Eucharist and Confirmation.
